The Muslim Women’s Council of Victoria Inc. (MWCV) was formed in 1998 to meet the challenges faced by Muslim women living, working and integrating into the broader community in a way that honours their religious and cultural heritage while simultaneously enriching the broader Australian community. We currently have vacancies for volunteers wanting to work with MWCV. Part-time positions are available. Hours and days are negotiable. |

Phone and computer skills essential. Job includes taking messages, making phone calls, arranging appointments and filing. |
| Community Development Officer: |
Phone and computer skills essential. Job includes searching for and applying for funding of projects, assisting in the planning and organising of community events or initiatives. The job requires someone who has a passion for making a difference in the community and a willingness to contribute their own ideas. Those with experience in this area preferred. |
| Educators: |
Educators are needed to help our New and Emerging Communities to learn skills in basic English for everyday use. Written and spoken skills are required as it is expected they will also be taught how to fill out forms for centrelink, job applications, medical, educational, etc. There may be other areas that require educators in the future. Those with a good grasp of Australian English and have experience with people from non-English speaking backgrounds are desirable. |
Experience is desirable but not essential, as there will be on the job training and guidance where practical. If you are a University student looking for work experience in the field of Community Welfare, Community Development, Counselling or Project Management, this is an excellent place to start. |
