The key objective of these programs are to remove the disadvantage of Muslim children whose family of origin does not or is unable to support their children’s education due to lack of financial means etc. The focus of educational support is to combine tuition and mentoring. The tuition program is staffed by volunteers and mentors of both Muslim and non-Muslim backgrounds.

The primary focus is to ensure that Muslim children and young people are encouraged to participate and complete secondary and/or tertiary study or apprenticeships and that they will have the necessary skills to do so successfully. The broader benefits of this program will be felt within the Australian community in terms of employment and contribution to social, economic and political participation

Additionally, the organisation also facilitates Arabic and English classes for pre/primary aged children. These classes have not only provided the students with verbal and literacy skills in Arabic and English, but it has also enabled a component of interpersonal skills to be developed. Such skills are essential for interacting with others and for successfully integrating into society

Language classes are offered to children from NESB to enhance their chances of completing primary education and facilitate positive pathways to secondary education and general integration into society. Successful completion of school education opens pathways for tertiary education and/or employment participation thus enhancing participation in many aspects of society.

The MWCV recently provided a stress management course to 60 teachers at one Islamic College and will be providing an extended Peer Pressure and Assertiveness Course to young women to assist in their personal development.
